Carol Ann Hahn of Richardson, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born on July 1, 1937, in Superior, Arizona. She was raised by her loving parents, stepfather Roman Gusmerotti and mother Madge (Bailey) Naglich, and her father Frank Naglich.
Carol was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth, kindness, and strength touched all who knew her. As a single mother, she raised her daughter with unwavering love, resilience, and determination, always putting her first and making countless sacrifices to ensure her happiness and well-being without hesitation. She found great joy in her family and especially cherished her role as a grandmother, delighting in every moment she spent with her grandchildren. Whether she was offering a listening ear, putting together a home-cooked meal, or simply sitting in quiet companionship, Carol had a remarkable way of making those around her feel seen and loved. Her unwavering spirit and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know her.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Christina Zander, and her husband, Michael Zander, of Allen, Texas; her loving brother, Joe Gusmerotti, of Los Angeles, California; her treasured granddaughters, Maggie Zander and Caroline Cypert, and Caroline’s husband Steven Cypert, all of Dallas, Texas.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Roman Gusmerotti and mother Madge Naglich, and her father Frank Naglich.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013 with a reception to follow.
