Carmen Luisa Echegaray, age 69, of Plano, Texas formerly of New York passed away February 15, 2008 in Frisco, Texas. She was born July 15, 1938 in Lima, Peru to Ruperto Colchado and Magdalena Linares. On March 15, 1958 she married Hugo Echegaray in Lima, Peru. Carmen was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Hugo Echegaray of Plano, Texas; mother, Magdalena Colchado; sons, Manuel Echegaray and wife, Erika of McKinney, Texas, Victor Hugo Echegaray of Elizabeth, New Jersey and Jose Echegaray of Stafford, Connecticut; daughters, Lilian Salazar and husband, Bruno of New York, New York and Carmen Echegaray of New York, New York; eleven grandchildren; brothers, Augustin Colchado, Alberto Colchado, Angel Colchado, Cesar Colchado; sisters, Miriam Colchado, Betty Casquero, Gilda Colchado, Ruth Colchado, Mercedes Carreno and numerous family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, and sister, Magdalena Lau. A celebration of Carmen’s life will be held in New York at a later date.
