Carlie Lewis, age 85, of Frisco, Texas, passed away December 21, 2017.  Carlie was born August 25, 1932, in Roosevelt, Utah, to George Dewey and Vera Marzella (Gagon) Grove.  

She is survived by her children, Roxanne Hopewell and husband, Bruce of Van Alstyne, Texas, Ira Lewis and wife, Nancy of Allen, Texas, and Wendy Tyler and husband, Bruce of McKinney, Texas; ten grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; brother, Lyle Duane McAllister and wife, Sarah Marie of Draper, Utah; sister, LaRue Wise and husband, Lonnie of Richland, Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her, husband, John Francis Lewis, son, Jack, C. Lewis, grandson, Christian Tyler, great-grandson, Covey Hopewell, her parents, and seven siblings.

Carlie was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during her lifetime and had a vibrant testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. She never wavered in her faith and was never shy in sharing her testimony with those she met. She served in many different capacities in the church and magnified each of her callings. She was also an incredible example of service throughout her life and found many ways to lift and serve others. Most of all, she found great joy in her growing posterity and loved each one of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 29, 2017, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5095 Coit Road, Frisco, Texas.  Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Thursday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
