Carla Criss Ziots peacefully passed away on February 8, 2017 after a two year long battle with cancer at the age of 52. She lived in Parker, Texas with her husband, son and daughter for 16 years. Carla was born on November 24, 1964 to Allen and Catherine (Johnstone) Criss in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Plano Senior High School, Stephen F. Austin State University, and UTD with a Masters in Accounting. Carla ended her career in accounting as a Shareholder at HM&M. She was loving, high-spirited, and courageous. Carla loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling around the world, going to concerts and tennis matches, and watching her favorite winning football team: The Dallas Cowboys. Carla was passionate about music, she loved sitting in the sun by the pool, and adored her cat Smokey.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; daughter and son, Megan and Brandon; father and mother, Allen and Cathy; and brother, Brian. She was an amazing and kind person and will be greatly missed.
A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 13, 2017 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 N. Greenville Avenue, Allen, Texas 75002. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
