Carrie Magdalene Resing of McKinney, Texas, passed away on May 26, 2026, at the age of 53.
Carrie was born on January 30, 1973, in Conway, Arkansas, to David Harrison Herman and Kathy Lou Kirkland. She graduated from West Fork High School in West Fork, Arkansas, with the Class of 1991, and later earned her degree from the University of Arkansas.
In 1996, Carrie married Adam Jon Resing in California. She was a devoted mother who treasured spending time with her children and family above all else.
Carrie was a dedicated teacher at Dietz Elementary School in Crandall, Texas, where she positively impacted the lives of many students.
A deeply creative person, Carrie expressed herself through art, especially painting, which brought her great joy. She also had a special love for Christmas and was known for transforming her home each holiday season with beautiful decorations and at least seven Christmas trees, creating warmth and magical memories for those she loved.
Carrie is survived by her son, Mitchell Harrison Resing of Suisan City, California; daughter, Alexis Jane Herman Resing of Portland, Oregon; daughter, Katherine Scarlett Rose Herman Resing of McKinney, Texas; son, Adam Jack Christian Herman Resing of McKinney, Texas; mother, Kathy Powers of Martinez, California; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Jen Resing; father, David Harrison Herman; and sister, Shannon Marie Williams.
