Cara Lee Sturgeon, age 39, of Hurst, Texas passed away June 11, 2013. She was born September 17, 1973 in Richardson, Texas to Edward Henry and Judy Jo (Tuter) Olsen. On April 18, 2004 she married John Millard Sturgeon. Cara grew up in Farmersville, Texas, where she graduated from Farmersville High School in 1992. She attended CCCC and graduated from Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas with a Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy in 1998. Cara worked as an occupation therapist for Career Staff. She was an avid reader and enjoyed teaching art at her children’s school. Cara was a member of Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. John Sturgeon of Hurst, Texas; children, John Thanh Sturgeon and Thomas Sturgeon; parents, Judy and Ed Olsen of Farmersville, Texas; sisters, Michel Renee McNally of Dallas, Texas, Cherlyn Sue Russell and husband, Burt of Richardson, Texas, Erica Diane Whitmore and husband, Phil of Vacaville, California, several nieces and nephews and a host of other loving family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Allen, Texas.
