Dear Mr. & Mrs. Olsen and Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter/sister/wife. As you know, I met Cara at the RedPine Home where my Dad is also a resident. I enjoyed stopping in to see Cara when I arrived and before I left each time I came to see Dad. When I greeted Cara or let her know that I was praying for her, she always gave me a sweet smile and sometimes when able to talk she would say "hello" or "thank you". My last visit with her was extra special as I spent more time in her room talking a bit and then singing praise songs quietly to her. I knew she wasn't doing well, but I held her hand as I sang. After singing and as I began to pray out loud for her, she squeezed my hand tightly as if to 'thank me' and to let me know she felt the presence of the Lord. I later found out that she passed away the next day. I'm saddened to no longer have the blessing of visiting her when I'm there, though I know I will see her again some day as will each of you. It was a privilege to meet each of you (Mr. & Mrs. Olsen) as well as your daughter & her husband from California. I pray that each of you will be overwhelmed with the peace that only God can provide as you grieve the loss of your precious Cara. I am so grateful knowing that each of you are Christ-followers and thus you grieve with HOPE, knowing you'll be reunited someday.
