Callie Faye Bollin

Callie Faye Bollin of Plano, Texas passed away September 1, 2021 at the age of 78. She was born on February 22, 1943 to Elliott Stevens and Eddie Ree (Smith) in McKinney, Texas.  Callie was a graduate of the historic E. S. Doty School in McKinney which closed in 1966.  She participated in the band and played the drums.  She was devoted to keeping the history alive, of her beloved school.  She served on the E.S. Doty Reunion Committee.  After high school, Callie worked at Texas Instruments, McKinney Job Corp, and ARCO Oil and Gas Co. for many years as Security Supervisor.

Callie was also a longstanding member of The First Baptist Church.  She served in the choir, usher board and deaconess.  She chaired a host of committees while she was a member.  The played a huge role in making the First Baptist Church on the Drexel location a historical site.

In September of 1962, Callie married her high school sweetheart, Walter Mack Bollin.  September 6, 1962 was the day they were joined in holy matrimony.  Callie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend

She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Walter Mack Bollin of Plano, Texas; daughter, Lenora Shell Dailey (Eric) of Palmetto, Florida; grandson Eric Dailey Jr.; brothers, Homer C. Jackson (Patricia) of Desoto, Texas and Danny J. Jackson of Garland, Texas; sisters, Patria Holmes of Garland, Texas and Daisy Hart (Kenneth) of Rowlett, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Callie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Walter K. Jackson and Eddie L. Jackson; and sister, Sharon G. Duckett.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.  The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Callie’s obituary page by clicking on the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/callie-faye-bollin.  The recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.  Following the service, a procession made its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.

The family will receive family and friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Allen.
