C. Jack Alexander

C. Jack Alexander, our beloved “Papa Jack”, also known as Bird Dog Jack, a longtime resident of Melissa, Texas passed away October 30, 2007. He was born May 15, 1923, in McKinney, Texas, to Claude and Josephine (McNeil) Alexander. He served his country during WWII as a US Army Ranger. On February 10, 1967, he married Doris Niell in Durant, Oklahoma. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife of forty years, Doris; daughters, Vickie Litton and her husband Lee of Garland, Sherrie Chandler of Dallas, Judy Randolph and her husband Jim of Rockwall, and Debbie Bolden and her husband Darrell of Dallas; grandchildren, Christopher, Kieston, Calley, Joseph, Sadie, Sophie, Ashley, Steve, Eric and Brett; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Corey, Reagan and Bethany; and sister, Imogene Hitchcock. Preceding him in death were his parents; and three brothers. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, November 3, 2007, at Melissa Cemetery with Brother Dan Carroll officiating. The family will receive friends at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas, during a visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
