Buddy Ronald Swan passed away on February 19, 2026, at the age of 77. He was born on December 27, 1948, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Ross Nolan Swan and Mattie Edna (Skelton) Swan.
Buddy proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired after years of faithful service. He carried that same dedication and strength into every part of his life.
On October 10, 1968, he married the love of his life, Barbara Harmon, in Quanah, Texas. For 57 years, they shared a life built on love, faith, and devotion. Together they raised their daughters, Deborah and Kristy creating a home filled with kindness, laughter, and steady support.
Buddy will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. He found his greatest joy in his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Swan of Princeton, Texas; daughter, Deborah Heller of Princeton, Texas; grandson, Ronald Ryan Heller; granddaughters, Brittany White and Kayla Berry; great-grandson, John David White; sister, Susan Rhyne of Georgetown, Texas; brother, Henry Trammell of Dublin, Texas; brother-in-law, Billy Harmon of Comanche, Texas; sister-in-law, Kay Benson of Rising Star, Texas; sons-in-law, Edward Heller and Damon Berry; and many other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kristy Berry; and brothers, Bob Trammell, Roger “Butch” Trammell, Mike Swan, and Ronnie Smith.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
