IN LOVING MEMORY

Bryan Evans

Sep 26 1987 - Oct 05 2025

With heavy hearts and abiding faith, the family of Bryan Scott Evans of McKinney, Texas, announces his passing on October 5, 2025, at the age of 38. Bryan was born on September 26, 1987, in Houston, Texas, to James Steven and Jo Ann (Travis) Evans.

Bryan grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and faith that guided him throughout his life. A proud graduate of Centennial High School, Class of 2006, Bryan went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Services in 2013, a reflection of his natural compassion and lifelong dedication to understanding and caring for others.

Bryan possessed an extraordinary gift of empathy and understanding—he had a way of truly seeing people, listening with his heart, and offering comfort and encouragement when it was needed most. His friends and family often said Bryan could make anyone feel like his best friend, because in his heart, they truly were.  Though Bryan faced physical limitations, his heart and spirit never were. He lived with strength, courage, and a radiant sense of hope that touched everyone around him.

He was known for his witty humor, wonderful laugh, and deep care for others, qualities that brought light and joy to every gathering. He was deeply loving to his family and friends, always ready with a kind word, a funny story, or a long conversation that seemed to make time stand still. Bryan loved to talk—and he could talk to anyone about anything. He truly never met a stranger, and his warmth and openness made him beloved by all who knew him.

Bryan had a lifelong passion for sports.  Whether it was fantasy football with his best friend, Collin and or debating baseball, especially the Texas Rangers with his cousin, Joe.  His enthusiasm for the game mirrored his enthusiasm for life—genuine, passionate, and full of heart.

Most importantly, Bryan’s life was anchored by his faith in God. He professed, lived, and demonstrated his love for God the Father, Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit in his daily walk, reflecting that love through his kindness, generosity, and steadfast spirit.

Bryan is survived by his devoted parents, Steve and Jo Ann Evans of Plano, Texas; his loving brother, Brent Evans and wife, Megan, of Melissa, Texas; his cherished niece, Maisie Evans; his beloved nephew, Dylan Key of Japan; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever hold his memory close.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Bunny Evans of Sacramento, California, and Joe and Janelle Travis of Angleton, Texas, all of whom now welcome him home with open arms.

Bryan’s earthly presence will be deeply missed, yet his spirit endures in every heart he touched and every life he brightened. His family takes comfort in knowing he is at peace—his laughter echoing through heaven, his conversations never ending, and his love everlasting.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, October 13, 2025, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.  The service will also be live streamed at the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/bryan-evans listed in the body of his obituary online.

The family visitation will be at the home of Brent and Megan Evans, 3509 Kodiak Drive, Melissa, Texas 75454.
