Bryan David Martin

Bryan David Martin of Westminster, Texas passed away July 31, 2016, at the age of 56.  He was born August 4, 1959, to Virl Martin and Annelle (Grantham) Martin in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma.  Bryan served his country proudly in the United States Navy for over twenty years and retired as a Chief Air Traffic Controller.  He married Jeanne Quick on August 27, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Bryan was an avid pilot, motorcycle enthusiast, and big game hunter.  He was a cowboy and horseman as well as a competitor in the Bareback Rodeo Circuit for thirteen years.  Bryan also spent time as an actor and voice talent.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars as well as the North Texas Patriot Guard Riders.  Bryan spent the last sixteen years as an Air Traffic Controller at McKinney National Airport in McKinney, Texas and was also the Facility Representative for the National Air Traffic Controllers Association.  He never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone.
 
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Martin of Westminster, Texas; parents, Virl and Annelle Martin of Louisville, Kentucky; mother-in-law and father-in-law, June and Everitt Quick of Port Jervis, New York; sister, Cindy Martin of Louisville, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Julie Martin of Chesapeake, Virginia; Brothers-in-law, Walter Quick of Pennsylvania, Kenneth Quick of Maryland, and Paul Quick also of Pennsylvania; niece, Jennifer Prible and husband, Jon of Aldie, Virginia; nephew, Jared Martin and wife, Ingrid of Portsmouth, Virginia; great-niece, Reagan Prible of Aldie, Virginia; and great-nephews, Mason Prible of Aldie, Virginia, and Jayden Martin of Portsmouth, Virginia.
 
Bryan was preceded in death by his brother, Captain James Robert Martin, United States Navy, Retired. 

A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas with Jim Wilson officiating.
