IN LOVING MEMORY

Bryan Berry Swanner

Dec 29 1936 - Dec 24 2022

Bryan Berry Swanner passed away December 24, 2022 in McKinney, Texas at the age of 85. Bryan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He loved tinkering around in his garage and shop and was usually the first to volunteer his services to many in need.

Bryan was born to Clovis and Ruby (Berry) Swanner on December 29, 1936 in Chambersville, Texas. He graduated from McKinney Boyd High School in 1955. Bryan married the love of his life on June 28, 1957. He enlisted in the Army Reserves 1957, where he proudly served as a cook and “designated driver” for his unit. Bryan was employed with Texas Instruments for 37 years and continued working as a machinist for many years after in various smaller machine shops.

Bryan is survived by his wife of 65 years, Kathryn Swanner of McKinney, Texas; son, John Swanner and wife, Jill of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Beth Lowry and husband, Wes of Anna, Texas; grandchildren, J.P. Roland, Jacob Lowry, Hayden Swanner, Kyler Swanner, and Brylee Weisz; brother, Ardell Swanner of McKinney, Texas; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Bryan was a quiet man but was always proud to talk about his grandchildren: JP going to lineman school in January, Jacob in the school band, Hayden attending University of Tennessee, Kyler playing golf for McKinney North, and Brylee playing tennis for McKinney North. He loved attending their events any chance he could.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis and Ruby Swanner, and his brother, Clovis Swanner, Jr.

Pallbearers: J.P. Roland, Hayden Swanner, Kyler Swanner, Jeff Swanner, Nathan Swanner, and Mickey Robison. Honorary pallbearers: Jacob Lowry, Cecil Thomason, and Mack Robison.
