Bruce Edward Chamberlain, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on September 28, 2023. He was 90 years old.
Bruce was born on November 20, 1932, in Cattaraugus, New York, to Wilbur Otto and Dorothea Katherine (Krager) Chamberlain. Bruce grew up with a love for hunting and fishing. He joined the United States Marine Corps where he developed a passion for aviation. Bruce pursued a career in air traffic control, eventually rising to the position of Assistant Chief of Buffalo Airport.
In October 1955, Bruce married the love of his life, Faye Jeannette Mozingo, in Conway, South Carolina. Their union was marked by unwavering love, partnership, and the joy of raising a family together.
Bruce will be deeply missed by his loving family, including his son, Bruce Chamberlain, Jr., and wife, Leigh, and his daughter, Vicki Bachman, and husband, Willard. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Jason, Michael, Joleen, Kaylee, Derek, Mallory, Brianna, Bryce, Bailey, Courtney, and Scott, along with 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Each generation bears witness to his enduring love and values.
Bruce is also survived by his brother, John Chamberlain, and wife, Valerie of Fairport New York.
Bruce was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Chamberlain, Son, Scott Chamberlain, daughter, Katherine Janowski, parents and sister, Nancy Young. He joins them in eternal peace, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A funeral service to celebrate Bruce's life will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 26, 2023 at The United Methodist Church in Melissa Texas. The burial will follow at The Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas Texas, at 2 pm.
Bruce Edward Chamberlain will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his accomplished career, and the kindness he showed to all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace, his memory forever alive in our hearts.
