Brian Spann of Allen, Texas passed away December 27, 2021 at the age of 27. He was born on August 5, 1994 to David and Kathy Spann in Plano, Texas. Brian graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication. Most recently, he was a student at Dallas Theological Seminary working on his Master’s Degree in Church Leadership. Brian was on staff at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church and served as Coordinator of the Epiphany Ministry. Brian was actively involved in his work at Epiphany, as a leader for To Be Like Me and served on the board for North Texas Young Life Capernaum. Brian loved people, sharing his testimony, keeping up with his friends, all things Disney, dogs and going to the movies. He was passionate about his love for the Lord and sharing that with others. He was a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. Brian will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents David and Kathy Spann of Allen, Texas; younger sister, Bethany Spann of Allen, Texas; grandmother, Faye Spann of Trenton, Texas; aunts and uncles, Julie and Stacy Green of Bridgeport, Texas, Mike and Cherri Spann of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Jimmy and Vickie Spann of Holly Ranch, Texas, and Steven and Jennifer Spann of Whitewright, Texas; many cousins, other loving relatives, and friends.
Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, P.W. Burtis, Jean Dunkle, and Bill Spann.
The family will receive family and friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-MorrowFuneral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, 9800 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75230. Brian expressed a desire for everyone to wear colorful clothes as he is with Jesus now and this will be a celebration! Brian said, “I want this to be the biggest display of the gospel possible and not to be sad! I want everyone present to worship Jesus and walk away with the passion of the Holy Spirit to proclaim the gospel with incredible boldness!!!!!”
