Loving husband, father, brother and friend, Brian England, 64, went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2024. Born in Dallas, Texas on September 16, 1959, he was a native Texan and avid Cowboys fan. Quick-witted and fun he had a smile that lit up a room; he never knew a stranger. Brian attended St. Mark’s School of Texas and Hillcrest High School. He began his career working with his father at Carver Sound. Later, he opened his own business, England Communications, designing and installing home theaters. When he wasn’t working, Brian was involved in Alcoholics Anonymous and had 27 years of sobriety. He loved hunting and entertaining his nieces and nephews whenever he could. In 1997, he met Meredith Brandes, and they married in 2000 in Granbury, Texas. They were blessed with 3 amazing children; he loved his family and was so proud of his children. Brian loved watching Gus play football and was always amazed with Georgia’s newest character portrayal and costume creation. He also rekindled his love of motorcycles and raced in the over 50 class in local area motocross races. Brian came to know the Lord after the death of his infant daughter, Maddie. It was after this that he became active in his church, teaching Sunday school and sharing life with a group of high school boys from sixth grade through senior year of high school. He had so much to give to others and never shied away from the chance to mentor.
Brian is preceded in death by his infant daughter Maddie who passed away from SIDS at 4 months old; his parents, Sheila and Bud (Clarence) England.
Brian is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Meredith England and their two children, Gus and Georgia of Frisco, Texas. Gus is a sophomore, playing football at Hardin-Simmons University, and Georgia is a junior at Wakeland High School excelling in art and fashion classes. He is also survived by his three sisters, Bess Daunis of New Mexico, Joan England of Dallas, Texas, and Lindy Crain and her husband, Rick, of Dallas, Texas; his brother, Ian England and his wife, Sue of Leander, Texas and a slew of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Frisco First Baptist Church, 7901 Main Street, Frisco, Texas 75034, on Saturday, April 13, 2024, beginning at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you consider a donation to a local Alzheimer’s organization, or to a local charity Triumph Over Alzheimer’s.
