Brian Keith Garrett of Plano, Texas passed away November 27, 2025 at the age of 64. He was born to Keith and Margaret (Riley) Garrett on June 20, 1961 in Waynesville, Missouri.
Brian graduated from high school in Dixon, Missouri. He proudly served his country as a Petty Officer in the United States Navy. Following his military service, Brian spent most of his career in the printing industry, working first at PIP Printing in Springfield, Missouri and later as press room supervisor at the Springfield News-Leader. A devout Christian, he was a member of James River Church in Springfield, Missouri. Brian found great joy in the outdoors, especially fly fishing at favorites like Roaring River State Park and long-range target shooting at the Pleasant Hope Conservation Area Shooting Range. He even set up his own fly-tying station to craft custom lures. He married Liana Waty on December 14, 2004 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Brian is survived by his wife, Liana Garrett of Plano, Texas; children, Justin Garrett and wife, Sara of Ash Grove, Missouri, Nathan Garrett of Springfield, Missouri, Raeanna Garrett of Plano, Texas and Sophia Garrett of Plano, Texas; mother, Margaret (Riley) Miller of Norwalk, Ohio; brothers, Dennis, David and Mike Garrett; and numerous other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Keith Garrett; son, Thomas Garrett; and sister, Brenda Garrett.
