Brian David Couch, 57, passed away May 4, 2026, in McKinney, Texas.  He was born on April 11, 1969, in Garland, Texas, to his loving parents David Glen Couch and Dorothy Diane Burns.

Brian graduated from McKinney High School and went on to earn his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Dallas. He later continued his education at Amberton University in Garland, where he received his master’s degree.

Early in his career, Brian worked as a paralegal with the law firm of Skadden, Arps. Following his passion for helping others, he pursued a career in counseling, earning his credentials as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Brian devoted many years to this meaningful work, walking alongside others with compassion, wisdom, and understanding. He served as a counselor with Better Health for many years, where he made a lasting impact on the lives of those he counseled.

Brian had a deep love for music and found great joy in playing both the keyboard and guitar. He was also dedicated to serving his community, volunteering his time at a local thrift store and always stepping in wherever help was needed. His kindness and generosity were evident in the way he treated others, and he was known for his gentle spirit and willingness to give of himself. Brian lived out his values through service, compassion, and a sincere care for others.

Brian is survived by his parents, David Couch (Julie) of Rockwall, Texas, and Diane Grant (Jim Randle) of Granbury, Texas; sisters, Christan Smith (Roger) of McKinney, Texas, and Amanda Brown (Zach) of Austin, Texas; brother, Benjamin Couch; nephews, Henry and David Brown; longtime friends Nick Eaton and Tom Matz; and a host of loving family members and friends, who will miss him dearly and forever keep his memory in their hearts.
