IN LOVING MEMORY

Brett Wilson McCready

Aug 13 1986 - Feb 06 2021

Brett Wilson McCready, age 34, was reunited with his brother, Brandon and numerous loving relatives on February 6, 2021 in Sherman, Texas. He was born on August 13, 1986 in Twin Falls, Idaho to James Jay and Pamela Anne (Mitchell) McCready.

Brett had the most loving heart and a sweet soul. He had a vast curiosity about the world and loved discussing and pondering the true meaning of life. He liked challenging others around him to explore alternative perspectives to situations. He helped others when he had little or nothing to give except comforting words and company. Brett loved his family fiercely and always prayed for their health and happiness. If you ever needed a good laugh, Brett had a story, hypothesis or idea that would leave you crouched in laughter.

We know Brett’s work here was done and he is now continuing his journey with Brandon and loved ones. Most importantly, though, is knowing that Brett is finally whole and happy and finding out all the answers to life’s mysteries.

Brett is survived by his son, Bryson Wilson McCready of Whitewright, Texas; mother, Pamela Mitchell and wife, DeAnn Johnson of Whitewright, Texas; father, James McCready and wife, Vickie and sister, Tara of Layton, Utah; brother, Chad McCready and wife, Sarah and nieces, Riley and Ava of Melissa, Texas; sister, Kayla Gorman and husband, Jared and nephew, Liam and niece, Mila of Melissa, Texas; sister, Jennifer Innis and husband, Nick and nieces, Cambria, Declyn and Noa of Melissa, Texas; sister, Gracyn Mitchell-Johnson and brothers, Ashton Mitchell-Johnson, Aidan Mitchell-Johnson, Eli Mitchell-Johnson and Micah Mitchell-Johnson of Whitewright, Texas; grandparents, Corless and Linda Mitchell of Layton, Utah and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving relatives.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Brandon McCready and grandparents, Frank and Mary McCready.
