IN LOVING MEMORY

Brent H. Wyatt

Jan 01 1968 - Feb 07 2019

Brent H. Wyatt was born on January 1, 1968 to Harold and Alice Jane (Talley) Wyatt in Kansas City, Missouri. He suddenly passed away on February 7, 2019 in Allen, TX. He was 51 years old.

Brent moved with his family to Plano, Texas, at the age of 13. He attended Plano High School and was a National Merit Negro Finalist. After graduating from high school in 1986, he enrolled in the University of North Texas, graduating with a degree in Business Administration, Finance, and Information Systems.

Brent, like his father who was a career IBMer, launched his 23 year career at IBM in 1995 as a UNIX Sales Specialist responsible for a nine state territory for P-Series Server and Storage sales. He worked his way through sales roles until he found himself taking on a new role at IBM as a Linux System Administrator in 2015 where he was responsible for troubleshooting and supporting various server systems for IBM's client base. Brent decided it was time to rejoin a sales team in 2017. At the time of his passing, he was a valued member of the Global Client Success team.  A client centric team dedicated to help IBM clients adopt and accelerate their consumption of the IBM portfolio. Brent functioned as a client advocate, educator of IBM products and services, and a solution architect for IBM's client base. He approached his work deliberately and with compassion which made him an invaluable member of the IBM team. He enjoyed his work and his team and will be missed immensely.

Brent was an avid aficionado of post-punk music and had amassed a huge collection of music in the genre which he shared on the internet. He was a voracious reader and passionate about global politics, technology and history.

Brent is survived by his parents, Harold and Alice Wyatt of Plano, Texas; his sister, Nicole Wyatt of Allen, Texas; his beloved cat, Norway, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday February 15, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
