Brenda Gayle Adams of Princeton, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, at the age of 80. She was born on October 29, 1945, in McKinney, Texas, to Dwayne and Ruth (Alexander) Murphy.

Brenda graduated from Princeton High School followed by a 36 year career with State Farm.  She was a faithful and devoted member of Altoga Baptist Church where she proudly served as a Deacon’s wife. Her saving faith in Christ was reflected in her kindness and service to others.  

Brenda’s joy was being surrounded by her family and church. She was known as one of the sweetest and kindest people, with a wonderful sense of humor. She was a wife, mother, and grandmother who loved unconditionally, encouraged, sacrificed, and always extended grace.  

Brenda married Garry Jay Adams on May 19, 1972, in Sherman, Texas. They shared 54 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Garry Jay Adams of Princeton, Texas; daughter, Tina Chandler of Princeton, Texas; son, Ernie Adams and his wife, DeAngela, of Roanoke, Texas; grandchildren, Brian Redding, Hannah Adams, and Alivia Adams; great-grandchild, Harley Redding; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dwayne and Ruth Murphy.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2026, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Brenda’s memory to the Mary Ruth Fund at Altoga Baptist Church, 6594 FM 1827, McKinney, Texas 75071.
