IN LOVING MEMORY

Brenda Gail Sherrell

Jan 31 1956 - Apr 05 2026

Brenda Gail (Ramsey) Sherrell, a resident of McKinney, Texas, passed away April 5, 2026 at the age of 70.  She was born on January 31, 1956, in Dallas, Texas, to her loving parents, Roy Lee and Rosie Ramsey. Brenda grew up in Dallas and attended Carter High School.

On November 20, 1976, Brenda married the love of her life, Rick Sherrell, in Dallas, Texas. Together they built a life centered around love, family, and caring for others. She was a devoted wife, mother, Gigi, and her family was always her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.

Brenda was a breast cancer survivor for 15 years, and she carried that journey with strength, courage, and faith. After her recovery, she had a special place in her heart for others battling breast cancer and was always willing to listen, encourage, and help anyone going through a difficult time. She truly loved helping others and was known for her kindness, compassion, and generous heart.

Brenda loved her family deeply and especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren. Whether it was holidays, family gatherings, or simple everyday moments, she made everyone feel loved and cared for. She will be remembered for her strength, her caring spirit, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, but her love, strength, and memories will live on in the hearts of her family forever.

Brenda is survived by her beloved husband of forty-nine years, Rick Sherrell of McKinney, Texas; son, Jason Wayne Sherrell and his wife Megan of Montgomery, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Marie Kam and her husband David of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Brynlee Kam, Vivienne Kam, Harper Sherrell, and Olivia Sherrell; and a host of extended family members and friends, who will miss her and cherish her memory.

We will be celebrating her amazing life and legacy at a later date.
