Brenda Carol Sisk of Copeville was born on June 17, 1947 in McKinney, Texas to C.H. & Betty Baker and peacefully passed away on April 26, 2023 at the age of 75 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her 3 children Joel Sisk, Mandi & her husband Corbett Woodward, & Stephanie & her husband Beau Avant. Her grandchildren Joel Blake Sisk, Trevor Woodward, Melanie Sisk, Lauren Sisk, Hailey Sisk, Gary Sisk, Caetlyn & Dylan Avant. She is forever remembered by her sisters Judy Gallups & Tina Hensley. She is preceded in death by her husband Wilford Ray Sisk, her parents C.H. & Betty Baker, & her siblings Jina & Harvey Baker.
She was involved in the local community and worked at Community ISD for over 25 years. She loved being a bus driver. She could tell you the name of every child that rode her bus. She loved to work crossword puzzles and read anything written by Patricia Cornwell. Brenda was heavily involved in the Baptist church and was a person of faith. Her Bible was always within reach and often shared wisdom with anyone who came into her home.
Brenda graduated high school from Farmersville ISD in 1964 and was married to Wilford Ray Sisk in 1966. She loved her family, and her grandchildren held the key to her heart.
Brenda was loved by everyone who met her. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile was contagious, almost as much as her laugh. Her sense of humor was unmatched and she always knew the right things to say. She always saw the good in people, and she always had the advice you didn’t know you needed. She was a legend in her own right, and she will be truly missed by everyone whose heart she touched.
Everyone is welcome to join the celebration of Brenda’s life which will be held at the Copeville Baptist Church on Saturday, May 13th at 2 p.m.
