Branden Keanu Reyes, age 7, died on Monday, August 29, 2016, at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, TX.
Branden, also known as “B-Boy” or “Brando”, was born on June 25, 2009, in Frisco, TX, to parents Paul Reyes and Maila Bautista. He excelled at school, especially with science and math, and preferred National Geographic for Kids books for his leisure reading. He also played the piano. He enjoyed playing multiple sports, but his love was golf. He loved playing golf tournaments and also watching golf live in person. He enjoyed being outdoors, either riding his bike or helping with yardwork.
His outgoing and engaging personality endeared him to anyone with whom he had contact. He never shied away from challenges, and he approached them with a smile.
Branden is survived by his parents, Paul and Maila; his brothers, Ethan and Kyle Reyes; his paternal grandmother, Anita Reyes of Houston, TX; his maternal grandparents, Filomeno and Erlinda Bautista of Frisco, TX; his 8 aunts and 9 uncles; and his 24 cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Edward Reyes of Arlington, TX and by his cousin, Antonne Reyes of Arlington, TX.
Funeral services will take place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 5095 Coit Road in Frisco, TX on September 3, 2016 at 11:00am. Branden will be laid to rest at Ridgeview West Memorial Park - Frisco, TX.
