With heavy hearts the Williams family announces the unexpected passing of Bradley Kent Williams on March 20, 2021 at the age of 71. Brad's wife, Ginny Nelms Williams, friends, and family were by his side. Brad was born on June 20, 1949 to James Wilcox and Helen (Stewart) Williams in Dallas, Texas.
Brad began his career with Lincoln Property Company nearly 49 years ago. Over his tenure, he held almost every position within Lincoln.
He served as President of the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas, the President of the Texas Apartment Association, and Chairman of the Board of the National Apartment Association. Brad deservingly won numerous awards over his career including a Gold Medallion, The Frank Finch Presidential Award from TAA in 1997 and 2017, the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas, and inducted into The National Apartment Association Hall of Fame. Brad was the first ever recipient of the Lincoln Property Company Lifetime Achievement Award. Deserving and dedicated, there would not have been a better first-time winner. Brad was loved by many and will be missed by all.
He graduated from the University of Texas and attended postgraduate studies at Southern Methodist University where he earned a Certificate in Real Estate.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ginny Williams of Dallas, Texas; son, Bradley Kent Williams, Jr. and wife, Jessica Jenkins of Dallas, grandchildren, Elizabeth Jenkins, Luke Williams and Jonathan Williams; and a host of other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Lee Williams, Sr.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow.
In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the funeral service.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Bradley’s obituary page. Following the funeral service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service. After the service, the recorded live steam will be available for viewing at the same link location.
