BR Walton of Richardson, Texas, passed away on July 4, 2017. He was surrounded by his wife of 54 years, Yvonne Walton, and other close family members. BR was born in Chillicothe, Texas, on September 2, 1937. Most of his school years were spent in Dalhart, Texas, but he moved to Pueblo, Colorado, during his senior year of high school and graduated from there in 1956. He attended junior college in Pueblo before continuing his education at West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas. BR met the love of his life, Yvonne Meadows, in Amarillo in 1961. BR and Yvonne were married in June of 1963. BR began his career with Texaco while in Amarillo and later completed his bachelor's degree in economics, accounting, and management from the University of Houston. His distinguished career led him and Yvonne on an adventure that took them from Amarillo to Houston to New York and afforded them many opportunities to travel. After retiring from Texaco, BR co-founded Global Coaching Network, which provided top quality coaches and leadership consultants to companies worldwide.
BR enjoyed reading, exercising, gardening, and spending time with his wife and family. He delighted in his great nieces and nephew and in nurturing and mentoring them in all their accomplishments. He was a member of the church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Meadows Walton, his nieces and their husbands, Scott and Tabitha Foster and Boyd and Danae' Bush, and his great nieces and nephew, Tanisha Bush, Matt Foster, and Meg Foster.
