IN LOVING MEMORY

Bozidar "Boz" Racich

Jan 07 1935 - Dec 12 2017

Bozidar Racich of Allen, Texas passed away on December 12, 2017 at the age of 82.  He was born on January 7, 1935 to Marko and Saba Racic in Vrljika, Dalnacia, Serbia.

Bozidar was affectionately known as “Boz” by his family and closest friends.  He lived a life filled with adventure as he traveled the world and took risks that most wouldn’t dare.  He became a successful entrepreneur who owned a chain of furniture stores throughout the Midwest.  Boz was also a respected inventor and was well known for the creation of portable ice cream machines that served millions at fair and festivals throughout the country.

Boz spent his final days visiting with his son Mark and living with his daughter, Caterina, who became his loving caretaker.  Boz’s full and adventure-filled life ended exactly as he wished it would, in his daughter’s arms.

Bozidar is survived by his daughter, Caterina Whitwell and husband, Mark of Allen, Texas; sons, Mark Racich and wife, Kathleen of Loves Park, Illinois, Branko Ertl and Steve Racich; grandchildren, Carson, Mason, Nick, Alexa, Madelyn, Jacob, Brynley and Sasha; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marko and Saba Racic; one sister; and seven brothers.
