The beloved Boyd Steven Mack was carried into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the age of 63. He was born on October 21, 1955 to Bud and Wilma Mack in McKinney, Texas. Boyd was a 1975 graduate of McKinney High School and is fondly remember for his dashing good looks and joyful spirit. In 1978, he married Debbie Lafon and together they have two children, Bobby and Kandas. They built a life full of love and memories in Princeton, Texas. Boyd was a faithful employee and retired from Minyards and the City of McKinney. He was a firm believer in his God given duty as a provider for his family. Despite his health challenges he persevered with strength and diligence. Boyd was long standing member of Culleoka Baptist Church in Princeton. He had a passion for hunting, fishing and laughter. He was a One of a Kind with his zeal for life and friendships. Boyd never met a stranger.
Left to carry on his legacy of faith, devotion, and hilarious sense of humor is his son, Bobby Mack; daughter, Kandas Mack Schuster and husband, Jason; mother, Wilma Mack; lifelong friend, Debbie Lafon; sisters, Cindy McGill and husband, Thomas and Karen Wilson and husband, Leslie; grandchildren, Releigh, Allyson, Landon, Lukas and Lynleigh; and nieces and nephew, Leslie, Lacey, Katy and Benjamin.
Boyd was preceded in death by his father, Bud Mack.
He touched many lives and we ask that you join our family for his celebration of life.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment is to follow at Wilson Chapel Cemetery, 200 Chapel Lane, Lowry Crossing, Texas 75069. The family will receive friends during a visitation Saturday evening from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
