Dr. Boyd Jenkins

Boyd Jenkins, MD was born on March 31, 1962 in Okemah, OK and died August 12, 2009 in Frisco, TX. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Jenkins; two sons, Carson and Jacob Cornett, and soon to be born, Jack William Jenkins; mother, Ann McDaniel of Mt. Pleasant, TX; brother-in-laws, Terry Waller, of Magnolia, AR and Charlie Saul of Tyler, TX and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Russell (Jack) Jenkins, of Okemah, OK, sisters, Cathey Jenkins Waller of Magnolia, AK and Janet Jenkins Saul of Tyler, TX. Dr. Jenkins was board certified in Family Practice. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, then completed his post-graduate residency training at the Family Practice Program in San Antonio. Before opening Stonebriar Family Physicians, he practiced emergency medicine in the Presbyterian Hospital System. He enjoyed the long term relationships he had with his patients. Boyd was an active member of Grace Avenue United Methodist Church, the Connections Sunday School Class, the Adult Choir, and the NERFS Band. A visitation will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, TX 75013, on Friday, August 14, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM. There will be a memorial service at Grace Avenue United Methodist Church, 3521 Main St. in Frisco, TX 75034 on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a fund that is being established in the children’s names.
