Boyd Devard Craig, of Plano, Texas, passed away on October 5, 2010. Boyd was born August 8, 1940, in Little Axe, Oklahoma, to Silvie A. and Grace (Moody) Craig. On June 1, 1962 he married Sharon Coffey Craig in Norman, Oklahoma. He received his education in Norman, and at the University of Oklahoma. Boyd was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, as well as a board member of the Plano Rotary Club with perfect attendance for 40 years. He was also President of the Dallas Business Association. Boyd was instrumental in bringing soccer to the city of Plano. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Coffey Craig of Plano, Texas; children, David Craig of The Woodlands, Texas, Melody Craig of Rowlett, Texas, John Craig and wife Ramona of Sherman, Texas; brother, Charles Craig of Cleveland County, Oklahoma; sister, Elaine Chapman of Norman, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Anastasia and Abigail Craig of The Woodlands, Texas, Elizabeth, Valerie, Jonathan, and Justin Craig of Sherman, Texas; great-grandson, Johnny Paul Craig; a host of other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Neil Craig. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010, 1:00 p.m., at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, in Plano, Texas, with Father Henry Petter officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience to pay their respects and to sign the register book on Friday. The family will receive friends at a visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
