Bonnie Marie Strickland

Bonnie Marie Strickland, age 80, of Bedford, Texas, passed away September 22, 2020, in Bedford, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Bonnie was born on December 12, 1939, in McKinney, Texas, to Truman and Alta (Rutledge) Moore. Bonnie married her husband Sol on September 7, 1957, and they were happily married for 46 years until Sol’s death in 2004. Bonnie was an insurance sales representative and manager until retirement.

She is survived by her sisters, Linda Holifield of Grapevine, Texas and Betty Bryans of Carthage, Texas; her brothers, George Moore of Euless, Texas and Billy Moore of Detroit, Texas; her precious nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews; and a host of other cousins, friends and family. Though Bonnie had no children of her own, she loved and spoiled her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews beyond measure.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Virginia Coffee and Ruth Hagemann, and her husband, Sol.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, September 28, 2020, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, and will also be live streamed on the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Facebook page and a recorded video will be available following the funeral service on Bonnie’s obituary page.

However, when the maximum number of guests are reached, those who would like to honor Bonnie and show their support to her family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.

Following the funeral service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service where all are invited to attend the committal service maintaining social distancing or you may remain in your vehicle. You will be able to listen to the service through speakers set up at the gravesite.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.
