Bonnie Jean Nunley

Bonnie Jean (Becklehimer) Nunley, a resident of Princeton, Texas passed away November 8, 2024 at the age of 97.  She was born on July 5, 1927, to Cecil Harmon Becklehimer and Onis (Robertson) Becklehimer in Bloomfield, Missouri, where she attended elementary and high school.  Bonnie met the love of her life, Walker T. “Jack” Nunley. They celebrated their love and commitment to each other on their wedding day, February 18, 1946, in Rockwall, Texas.  Over the years, Jack and Bonnie created countless joyful memories while raising their six children, Rickey, Rita, Robbie, Rhonda, Russell, and Randy. Bonnie was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, in McKinney, Texas.

Bonnie was deeply dedicated to her family and found joy in the simple, fulfilling activities of life—whether through cooking, spending time outdoors, or nurturing her loved ones. Her warm, caring, and selfless nature was the cornerstone for raising the children, cooking for them, and sharing experiences like camping and fishing. All who have known Bonnie will enjoy those lasting memories and close relationships.

Bonnie is survived by her children: son, Rickey Nunley, of Canadian, Oklahoma; daughter, Robbie West, of Westminster, Texas; daughter, Rhonda Rice (J.R.), of Bonham, Texas; son, Russell Nunley, of Princeton, Texas; and son, Randy Nunley (Shelley), of Princeton, Texas; grandchildren, Bonnie (John), Eric, Jeff (Amy), Gary (Linda), Jack (Kelli), Amanda (Tyler), Trevor, Kyle (Brittany), and Brittany; seventeen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends, who will always cherish her memory.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Walker Nunley; parents, Cecil and Onis Becklehimer; daughter, Rita Delancey; and grandchildren, Kevin Michael Hill, and Caleb Nunley.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 11, 2024, at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, 75013.

The family will receive guests during a visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Turrentine-Jackson-Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway, North, Allen, Texas, 75013
