Bonnie Mabel Davis

Bonnie Mabel Davis, age 90 of Frisco, Texas passed away on November 22, 2008 in Frisco. She was born on June 13, 1918 in Farmersville, Texas to Alma and Cliff Hutchins. She was the sister of Ruby Wright, Retha Bell and Theo Hutchins, all of whom precede her in death. On February 22, 1936, Bonnie wed her husband of 56 years, Clarence Davis, who preceded her in death on May 29, 1992. On September 8, 1939, their only child, daughter, Melba, was born. Bonnie is also survived by her grandchildren, Greg Smothermon and Lisa Smothermon both of Frisco, Texas. During World War II, she worked at the North American Defense Plant building B-25 aircraft for the war effort while her husband and brother served in the Armed Forces. After the war Bonnie worked as a hairdresser and as a nurse as well as helping out with her husband’s service station business. Bonnie was a resident of Frisco for over 50 years and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Frisco. Fiercely independent and active until the end, Bonnie enjoyed gardening, her favorite soap operas and visiting with family and friends. Keeping her keen mind to the end, she passed away peacefully around the people who loved her the most. A Graveside Service will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 2:00PM with Pastor Bob Hooper officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow of Frisco.
