Bobby Lee Lowrimore of Allen, Texas passed away February 3, 2021 at the age of 72. Bobby was of Methodist faith. He was born January 29, 1949 to Howard Burness and Dorlene (Wofford) Lowrimore in Plainview, Texas. Bobby married Gail “Ginger” Travis in 1975 in Houston, Texas. They settled to raise their three children in Garland, Texas in 1990. He has been affectionally known to most as “Coach Bob” having coached both his children and grandchildren on many youth soccer teams throughout the years. In retirement he continued to give to his community through volunteer with the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center, Habitat for Humanity, his neighborhood home owners association, and with the Allen Sports Association. When he was not chasing grandchildren from field to field, he could be found in his yard gardening and was known for the wildflowers he carefully tended for all his neighbors to enjoy. Bob was a banker on paper but a scholar and teacher at heart. He will be remembered by his children and grandchildren for his infallible memory, passion for learning, and love for his family. He retired as the President at Texas Bank.
He is survived by his wife, Ginger Lowrimore of Allen, Texas; children, Beth Streeter and husband, Bryan of Lucas, Texas, Robin Jessup and husband, Jason of McKinney, Texas, David Lowrimore and husband, Bryan Dockter of Dallas, Texas, George Lowrimore and wife, Donna of Idabel, Oklahoma and Butch Lowrimore and wife, Shirley of Hugo, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Morgan Steeter, Rylan Streeter, Reagan Streeter, Reese Streeter, Colin Jessup and Quinn Jessup; nieces and nephews, Steve Lowrimore, Rick Lowrimore, Jan Ryals, Nikki McAdams, Jeff Lowrimore; numerous great nieces and nephews and a host of other loving family and friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents.
A “come and go” visitation will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, February 8, 2021, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.
When the maximum number of guests are reached, those who would like to honor Bobby and show their support to his family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.
Following the funeral service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service where all are invited to attend the committal service maintaining social distancing or you may remain in your vehicle. You will be able to listen to the service through speakers set up at the gravesite.
