Bobby Ray Cook

Bobby Ray Cook, 79 years old of Princeton, Texas passed away peacefully Tuesday evening September 19th in McKinney Tx.   

Bobby was born in Tushka, Oklahoma on December 1, 1943 to Robert Lee and Mary Elizabeth (Alexander) Cook.  
He married the love of his life Peggy Ann Dean in Blue Ridge, Texas on June 7, 1963.  They were married for 57 years until her passing in 2020.

Bobby started working at the young age of 12 hauling hay, picking cotton, along with numerous other tasks and various jobs.  After getting married he worked at a lumber yard, drove a dump truck, drove an 18 wheeler, sold fire equipment, and worked numerous years until his retirement for Collin County Road and Bridge.    When he retired he stayed busy gardening, woodworking, making bird houses and cooking.  

Bobby was a devout Christian.  He loved the Lord with all of his heart.  He was a faithful member of the Melissa Church of Christ for over 60 years.

He is survived by his children: Randy Cook and wife Kelly of McKinney, Tx.   Lori Terry and husband Danny of Leonard, Tx.    Grandchildren: Brooke Jones and husband Corey of McKinney, Tx.   Clayton Terry and wife Kirbie of Trenton, Tx.   Raygan Ives and husband Collin of Princeton, Tx.  and Jacob Terry of McKinney, Tx.  Great grandchildren: Keyla, Caleb and Joshua Jones of Mckinney, Tx. and Cooper Ives of Princeton, Tx.   Brother: Ron Cook and wife Vicki of Forney, Tx.  Sister-in-law: Shirley Rushing of Leonard, Tx.  along with many other family members.  

He is preceded in death by wife Peggy Cook.  And his mother and father.  

Services will be Friday,  September 22nd at Hurst's Fielder Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville, Tx.  Visitation will be at 12pm followed by the funeral at 1pm. There will not be a graveside service.  He will be layed beside his wife at the Blue Ridge Cemetery.  

Pallbearers will be:  Clayton Terry, Jacob Terry, Corey Jones, Collin Ives, Jerry Rushing and David Rushing.
