BOBBY LEMUEL PAULK, 73, passed away early Thursday morning, March 1, 2007, after a courageous 4 year battle with cancer. He was born in Lannius, TX, November 21, 1933 to Jack & Irene Bridges Paulk. Married for 53 years to his high school sweetheart, Eugenia Rose Cooper, January 1, 1954 in Bonham, TX. He was store manager for White's Stores in Bonham, then transferred to become store manager in Waco from 1963-1966. His family moved to McKinney in June 1966 to open & manage the new White's Stores, Inc. He received many managerial & sales achievement awards while employed there. He later owned & operated Bobby Paulk's Furniture in downtown McKinney. He was a longtime faithful member of the High Pointe Church of Christ in McKinney, having served as both a deacon & an elder at the former Davis Street & Westside locations. God, church, & family were most important to him. He was a devoted husband, loving father, & doting GeeDaddy. He is survived by his wife Eugenia of McKinney, daughter Stephanie Bird & her husband Kenny, granddaughter Brittany Bird, & great-granddaughter Autumn Lee, all of McKinney, brother & sister-in-law, Lenny & Karen Paulk of Lannius, TX, & many close friends & relatives. Also survived by his loving little Shih Tzu, Precious. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family wishes to thank Dr. Monte Jones & his staff, & all Bobby's nurses who so diligently cared for him. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 4, 2007, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Bro. Tom Gaumer and Bro. Bryan Sharp officiating. Interment will follow at Dodd City Cemetery in Dodd City, Texas. The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 p.m., Saturday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
