Bobby Lawrence Pell, age 88, of Celina, Texas, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019. He was born July 6, 1930, in Celina, Texas, to Mary Thelma (Woods) Pell and Lawrence Texas Pell. Bobby married the love of his life, Paralea (Burgess) Pell, at the First United Methodist Church of Celina on September 7, 1949. He began his career as a truck driver, and retired after 27 years working for Willard Grain as Dispatcher, Truck Shop Supervisor and Safety Officer.
Bobby is survived by his beloved wife, Paralea Pell; his children, Bobby E. Pell and his wife, Colette, of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and Sharon Roland and her husband, David Crook, of Cross Roads, Texas; his grandchildren, Paul Pell and his fiancé, Kelly Roebuck, Jenny Cozad and her husband, Gary, Sarah Roland and her husband, Josh Smith, and George Roland III and his wife, Rachel; his great-grandchildren, Kinley, Kiley, Brandy, Ellie, Sam, Haley, Kaleb and Jett; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Randy Roland; his daughter-in-law, Linda Pell; his son-in-law, George Roland Jr., his brother, Billy Ross Pell; and his parents, Lawrence and Thelma Pell.
A funeral service will be held at First United Methodist Church, 12465 CR 428, Celina, Texas, on Monday, April 1, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor John Baldwin. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Cottage Hill Cemetery.
