Bobby Douglas Jones was born in Frisco, Texas, on August 14, 1938, to Irby and Violet Asinyth (V.A.) Jones. He attended school in his early years in Dallas. Bobby later moved to McKinney and was a proud graduate of McKinney High School in 1957. Not long after graduating, he married Wanda Lee Griffin on April 18, 1958. They soon began their family and settled in Prosper, Texas. Bobby worked over 30 years at Texas Instruments and retired in 1991. He loved sports. No matter the distance, if one of his kids or grandkids were playing ball, he and Wanda would make a point to be there. Bobby also loved to umpire baseball games or referee football games. Bobby and Wanda also enjoyed visiting their favorite restaurants.  Food was definitely one of his loves to the point they would travel to The Grill in Madill, Oklahoma for the seafood buffet.  He served the Lord in many ways as Music Minister, Sunday School Teacher, and through his ministry as a deacon at First Baptist Church in Prosper and Fairview Baptist Church.
