Bobby Joe “Bitty Pop” Gaston Jr., age 59, of Celina, Texas, formerly of Frisco, Texas, passed away June 9, 2021. Bobby was born March 28, 1962, in Dallas, Texas, to Bobby Joe Gaston Sr. and Dolly Faye (Hardin) Gaston. He graduated from Frisco High School in 1980. Bobby graduated from Tarleton State University with a bachelor of science degree in agriculture. He was an avid golfer having enjoyed golfing around the world. While his degree was in Agriculture and it was his first love, technology and the ever changing way it impacted our lives became his passion. He devoted himself as an IT Director and fulfilled that role as a leader in the information technology industry. His last role, in which he was honored to serve, was that of Director of IT Applications for ClarkHill Strausburger, a leading international law firm.

Bobby was known as the Admiral and Patriarch of his family. Always in charge and ready to take the lead helping his family in any and all situations.  He was very well known in the Frisco community and was loved by many friends. While his life was full and he loved his family and friends unconditionally, his most proud role was that of Bitty Pop to Jane, Claire, and soon to be Scout. Here is where lies his most important and proud moments of life watching his legacy grow and live on in these beautiful granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Gaston of Celina, Texas; daughters, Elizabeth Duffey and husband, Thomas Raymond Duffey Jr., and Holly Gaston; bonus son, James Clayton Williamson and wife, Olivia; bonus daughter, Lauren Williamson; granddaughters, Jane Elizabeth Duffey, Claire Madeline Duffey, and Scout Kathryn Duffey; sister, Pamela Gaston-Riddle; nieces, Wendy Riddle and Kim Klosterman; nephew, Christopher Riddle; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 2, 2021, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8000 Eldorado Parkway, Frisco, Texas.

An inurnment will beheld at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 24, 2023, at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, 7800 Sanctuary Dr., Frisco, TX, 75033.
