Bob Swilley of Plano, Texas passed away July 8, 2016, at the age of 72. He was born March 5, 1944, to Carl Homer Swilley and Lula (Carroll) Swilley in Sale City, Georgia. Bob served his country proudly in the United States Army and then worked in printing management for over 30 years. He was married to Lavenia McCranie, his loving wife, for 52 years. He was a member of Chase Oaks Fellowship Church in Plano, Texas.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lavenia of Plano, Texas; son, Scott Swilley and wife Kathleen of Frisco, Texas; daughter, Monica Drew of Plano, Texas; grandsons, Kyler, Jakob, Dylan and granddaughter, Raina; siblings, Ann Matthews and husband Frank, Marilyn McLeod and husband John, Lila Criddle, Ellen Weldon and husband Ken, and John Randall Swilley; sister-in-law, Jeanette Swilley; brother-in-law’s Willie Joe McCranie and Randy McCranie; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Swilley.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
