Bobby Carroll Shouse, age 83, of McKinney, Texas, passed away February 18, 2018. Bobby was born June 15, 1934, in Merkel, Texas, to Clarence Elonza and Elora (Curb) Shouse. He grew up in Merkel, Texas, where he graduated from Merkel High School in 1952. Bobby married Ramona Sue Morrow on July 9, 1955, in Nolan, Texas. He was employed with Collins Radio in Richardson, Texas, which later became Rockwell International, in field testing and systems engineering. He then worked at DSC and Alcatel where he retired in 2001 as a telecommunications manager. Bobby loved spending time with his family and with the friends who became family over the years. He volunteered with Meals on Wheels and was an Ombudsman for the Area Agency on Aging, giving much of his time to improve the lives of others. Bobby grew tomatoes in the summer and made candy to give out at Christmas, was an avid golfer and loved playing poker with old friends.
He is survived by his sons, Carroll Wayne Shouse and wife, Sharon of Princeton, Texas and Gregory Allen Shouse and wife, Wendi who reside in Portsmouth, Virginia; grandchildren, Melissa Mitchell and husband, Michael, Randi Snow and husband, Colby, Katelyn Shouse, Christopher Shouse and their mother, Kelly; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Justin, Dakota, Paige, Gavin, Liam, and River; and great-great-grandchild, Elijah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Pete Shouse and Charles Shouse, sister, Gwendolyn Shouse, and daughter, Lisa Shouse.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.
