Bobbie Jewel Roberts French, age 81, of Princeton, Texas, passed away on January 7, 2017. She was born August 30, 1935 in Princeton, Texas to Alva Lee and Benita (Neill) Burnside. Bobbie worked for Texas Instruments in Richardson, Texas for thirty years and Quest Technology for ten years. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy French of Princeton, Texas; daughters, Leah Combest and husband Randy of Princeton, Texas, Debra Walthall and husband Stephen of Emory, Texas, Tammy Caldwell and husband Terry of Princeton, Texas; step-children, Amy Pugh and husband Daniel of McKinney, Texas and Jimmy Ray French of Melissa, Texas; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Harland Burnside and wife Shirley of McKinney, Texas; and sister Melba Wolfe of Waco Texas.
Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, Alva Lee and Benita Burnside; siblings, Evelina Sartain, Merl Burnside, Venell Webster and Billy Burnside.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
