Bob L. Jacobs

Bob L. Jacobs of Trophy Club, Texas, formally of McKinney, passed away on August 13, 2020 at the age of 89. He was born on December 5, 1930 to Herman and Vannie (Reynolds) Jacobs in Altus, Arkansas.  Bob proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.  He married Ruth Virginia Wall on December 31, 1952 in Booneville, Arkansas.  Bob was the owner of Bob Jacobs State Farm Insurance Agency from 1968-1995, 27 years.  He was defined by his love for Jesus and his family.  Bob was a member of BARA Church Trophy Club and a former member of North Baptist Church of McKinney.

He is survived by his son, Bob Jacobs, Jr. and wife, Jeanne of Denton, Texas; son, Don Jacobs and wife, Caryl Ann of Trophy Club, Texas; daughter, Beth Harlow and husband, Steve of Melissa, Texas;  grandchildren, Chris Harlow, Kaylee Jacobs, Capt. Bobby Jacobs, Mimi Jacobs, and Lily Jacobs; great grandchildren, Hannah, Cash, and Pearl Harlow, Adeline and Lee Jacobs; brother, J.D. Jacobs of Clarksville, Arkansas; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Virginia “Jinny” Jacobs; and his parents.

The family wishes to thank Jalysa Watson for her compassion and help in taking care of Bob for the last six years.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, August 16, 2020, at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.Family and friends are invited to Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home at their convenience on Saturday afternoon to pay their respects and to sign the register book. 

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, the following are Ridgeview Memorial Parks guidelines. All are invited to attend the Graveside Service, maintaining social distancing or you may remain in your vehicle. You will be able to listen to the service through speakers set up at the gravesite.

The graveside service will also be video recorded and will be available following the graveside service on Bob’s obituary page.
