Bob Alton Jones was born July 25, 1937, to Walter and Allie Jones of Anna, Texas. He was the youngest of seven children.
Bob married Peggy Johnson in May 1958 in Paris, Texas. They raised five children together.
Bob worked in the tire business for many years. First at Hill Tire in Richardson and then at Goodyear of McKinney for Wayne Browder.
He retired from Goodyear in the late 1990's. However, he grew tired of retirement and went back to work at the Lovejoy Independent School District, where he did retire a few years later.
Bob and Peggy have 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Bob loved his family, the land from growing up on a farm, and especially the garden he used to plant every year and his dogs. Bob was known for his green thumb. He raised beagles throughout his adult life.
He passed away peacefully at Princeton Medical Lodge on Sunday, December 3, 2023.
