Blasa (Oliva) Garcia of McKinney, Texas passed away on July 13, 2021 at the age of 83. She was born on February 3, 1938 to Cleofas Oliva and Irinea (Guerrero) Oliva in Mexico. Blasa was born and raised in Mexico. She met and married Jose Francisco Garcia in Armadillo De Los Infantes, SLP. They started their family in 1958. Blasa loved cooking for her family and crocheting for them. Every year they received a handmade gift from her. Blasa helped in raising her family when her husband Jose had to leave for work. She was devoted to her family and always did her best to give them the best life she could. Later in life, Blasa was making a trip to continue to help her family, here in McKinney. After spending some time in McKinney, she decided to stay here and live in the USA. Blasa was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in McKinney, Texas.
Blasa is survived by her husband, Jose Francisco Garcia of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Arcadia Mireles and husband, Cenaido of Beaumont, Texas; sons, Nereo Garcia and wife, Maria C. of Farmersville, Texas; Pedro Garcia and wife, Alicia of Porter, Texas, and Leonardo Garcia and wife, Magdalena of Plano, Texas; daughters, Delfina Guerrero and husband, Valentin of Lucas, Texas and Demetria Carreno and husband, Jose of McKinney, Texas; son, Alfredo Garcia and wife, Gloria of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Manuela Carreon and husband, Jose of Mesquite, Texas, Maria Lopez and husband, Miguel, Margarita Lopez and husband, Roberto, both of Sabinas Coahuila, Mexico; son-in-law, Mario Preciado of Sabinas Coahuila, Mexico; 25 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleofas and Irinea Oliva and her daughter, Maria Cleofas Garcia.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 16, 2021 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 411 Paula Road, McKinney, Texas 75069. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
The family will receive friends during a visitation at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 15, 2021 with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
