Blanche G. “Dassie” (Wickett) Holt of McKinney, Texas passed away February 4, 2021 at the age of 90. She was born January 4, 1931 to Stanley and Beulah (Scott) Wickett in Waterford, Ontario, Canada. Blanche worked as a legal secretary until she married Robert Dale Holt on December 2, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a devoted military wife, mother, and grandmother.
Blanche is survived by Crystal Holt Lawson and husband, Mike of Frisco, Texas; her beloved grandchildren, Maria Lawson, Carter Lawson and Rhett Lawson, all of Frisco, Texas; niece and nephew, Ted Crawford and wife, Terri of Hurst, Texas and Kathy Reed and husband, Roger of Azle, Texas; and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dale Holt; son, Scott Stephen Holt; sister, Ruth Wickett Crawford and brother in law, Lewis Crawford, and nephew, Ron Crawford.
Blanche will be buried next to her husband at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to Guiding Eyes for the Blind or Operation Kindness.
