Blake A. Bruce of Frisco, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at the age of 60. He was born June 22, 1959, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Verna (Magnus) and Robert Bruce. Blake married Susan Kleinman in Las Vegas, Nevada, on September 29, 1990, and they had two children. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fullerton in Computer Science and worked as a talented software engineer in the avionics and banking industries. He was a loving husband and father with a marvelous sense of humor. He was a loyal husband who never forgot a birthday or anniversary. He was a proud and devoted dad who never missed a piano recital, game, school event, or awards ceremony. He was an enthusiastic camper, hiker, and sports fan. He loved and supported his family infinitely and their love and support of him was equally unconditional. He will be immensely missed forever by his family and friends.
Blake is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Bruce; his son, Thomas Bruce of Frisco; his daughter, Sarah Bruce of Frisco; his sisters, Nancy Bruce of Farmers Branch, Texas, Lisa Bruce of Barrington, Illinois, and Robin Bruce of Irvine, California; his nieces, Emily Comisar, Moira Wahl, Alyssa Wahl, Shayna Gilmore, Kylie Bruce, Andrea Espitia, and Tamara Podell; his nephews, Alexander Comisar, Noah Comisar, Andrew Wahl, Benjamin Podell, and Johnathon Podell; and three grandnieces.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, David Ludwig, and his parents, Verna and Robert Bruce.
