Bin Gao was born on February 2, 1968 in Shandong, China. In 1987, he moved to Nanjing to attend Hohai University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science. After graduating, he traveled to Beijing where he met his wife, Dongping Chu. They married in 1993, and in 1998 the couple departed China and arrived at Beaumont, Texas. Bin and Dongping then moved to Dallas where he completed his master’s degree from University of Texas at Dallas. During this time, the two found Christianity at Waterview Church of Christ, and Bin professed his faith and underwent baptism in 2000. Shortly thereafter, the couple moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where they welcomed their son, Sean before moving back to Dallas to start working at Southwestern Bell (now AT&T) for the next 20+ years. In 2004, the family made their final move to Allen, Texas where they welcomed their daughter, Christina. Around the same time, he joined the First Chinese Baptist Church of Dallas where he faithfully served the Lord until he passed away in 2022 at the age of 54. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his wife, son, daughter, brother, sister, and his two nephews.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday afternoon, July 2, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
A graveside inurnment will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 11, 2022 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
