Billye Sue Caldwell

Billye Sue Caldwell affectionately known as Mawmaw to her friends and famity passed away in Tyler, Texas June 30, 2021. She was born March 2, 1933 in Farmersville, Texas to Jake and Delia Hickman. She married Raymond “Dick” Caldwell on November 16, 1953 and together they had 3 children. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister, Patsy Rike and one great grandchild, Kelsey Cowley. She spent her teenage years in Farmersville and Princeton where she graduated from high school.

She and Dick spent most of their married life in Leonard. After his death Sue moved to Emory to be near family.

She is survived by her daughter Susan Lively and husband Eddie of Emory, her son Jay Caldwell and wife Lana of Carrollton, her son Kyle Caldwell, and wife Beverly of Terrell.

Grandchildren are Jon Felmet and wife Sarah. Candice Duncan and husband David, Tyler Lively and wife Kim, Jacob Caldwell, Jared Caldwell, Abby Altman, Bailey Sparks and husband Austin.

She also had great grand children Darla Duncan, Braylee Lively. Darby Duncan, Darcey Duncan, Lettie Lively, Katlynn Bryant, Kaden Riley and Kaleb Riley and a great great-grandson Brantley Bo.

She was a member of the Valley Creek Baptist Church. She served on the Leonard City Council and was always very active in city and school activities.

Visitation will be Tuesday 5-7 at the Turrentine-Jackson Morrow Funeral Home in Leonard. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Leonard.
