Billy Dan Whisenhunt, of Leonard, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 3, 2021 in Plano, Texas at the age of 57. Billy was born on January 11, 1964 to Samuel Whisenhunt and Betty Harper Whisenhunt in Bonham, Texas. He married the love of his life, Robin Clubb, on June 2, 1989. Billy enjoyed his family, baseball, football, and fishing.
Anyone who knew Billy, or Worm as he was affectionately called by the community, knew that his family was his life and that he would help anyone in need. He was always one phone call away and willing to lend a helping hand. While his children were his world, one could say that his greatest loves were his grandchildren and great granddaughter. To be in the presence of Billy, was to truly be in the presence of the greatest man this world has known.
The family wishes to publicly recognize Medical City of Plano’s surgeons and staff for their care of Billy. Specifically, the family recognizes the following ICU nurses: Kelly Warren; Megan Shepherd; Lauren Deason; Samantha; and the three best Sarah’s, all of whom worked the night shift.
