Billy Joe “Bill” Enloe of Allen, Texas, passed away November 24, 2022 at the age of 91. He was born on January 26, 1931, to Joe Clark Enloe and Rosa Velma (Coleman) Enloe in Culleoka, Texas. Bill was a 1949 graduate of Boyd High School in McKinney, Texas. After school, he was an ambulance driver for Harris Funeral Home in McKinney. Bill served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corp. from August 1, 1950 until August 2, 1954. He married Virginia Fite on July 4, 1956, in Urbandale, Texas. Bill later married Verda Mae Holt Williams on January 21, 1977, in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, and they enjoyed many happy years before her passing. He also worked as a Postmaster appointed by Lyndon B. Johnson in Allen from 1968 through 1994 until his retirement. Bill was a devoted member of Grace Fellowship Church in McKinney. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Bill will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughter, Jill Enloe Dietz and husband, Keith of Allen, Texas; son, Joe Allen Enloe of Jacksonville, Texas; stepchildren, Michael R. Williams and wife, Karen of Allen, Texas, David Williams and wife, Kellie of Savoy, Texas, Brenda Pesnell and husband, Steve of Royce City, Texas; grandchildren, Joe Clark Dietz of Carrollton, Texas, Danica Dietz of Allen, Texas, Jason Williams and wife, Jenny of Allen, Texas, Jeffrey Williams and wife, Jamie of Tom Bean, Texas, Steven Williams of McKinney, Texas, Joshua Williams and wife, Heather of The Woodlands, Texas, Ashley Melton and husband, Dusty of Howe, Texas, Garett Pesnell and wife, Rachel of McKinney, Texas, Jacob Pesnell and wife, Dyann of Chicago, Illinois, Brian Enloe of Dallas, Texas, T.J. Enloe and wife, Jennifer of Mansfield, Texas, and Aron Enloe and wife, Jhanea of Shreveport, Louisiana; great-grandchildren, Nate, Virginia, Gavin, Cade, Carrie Paige, Izik, Anthony, Kira, Kate, Adam, Della, Garrett, Aiden, Elizabeth, and Jaclyn; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Verda Mae Enloe.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
The family will receive family and friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
